Down the Drain

The academic year's over. School's out. I should be rejoicing. But I'm not. I feel a sense of detachment. I sense of emptiness. I won't wake to go to school tomorrow, and sit down and discuss the MU:Arsenal 2-2 draw. I won't be racing down to the astro with you guys to play soccer. At least not all together. I won't be laughing along with you guys in class. I probably won't sit and emo with you people anymore in the dark, blacked-out class. It all doesn't bear thinking about. I'm all nostalgic and drifting away on a cloud of wonderful memories. But I'll soon fall down to the ground. New class, new teachers, and new classmates. Probably new friends. But I'll never forget you guys. We'll still eat together in the canteen, play soccer together, yeah? I'll see you all next year.

I'm confused. I'm feeling unhappy, regretful, and for a reason I can't quite isolate. It'll all blow over, but it would be better if I knew. I really dunno. Well, count my blessings I suppose. I'll be fine.

Adi - Well, you never fail to ask the hard and difficult questions, don't you? You are a nice guy at heart. Just be less serious, and know how to let go and have some fun, yeah? All the best, man. :)

Anderson - I thought I knew you, didn't I? Well, I'll let bygones be bygones, yeah? Just be a little more sensitive, kays? You never fail to brighten up the class during some boring periods. Give us all a good laugh to destress. Thanks for that. Well, good luck.

Shao Wei - I don't know you all that well. Well, we still can have fun together, can't we? I have always admired your ability to not listen in class, and still churn out A's for your subjects. But of course, you got the talent, and you got to put in the effort. You can go real far. Don't let it go to waste. I see you next year.

Jech: Well Jerry, it's been a long five years. For the first three, I barely knew you. Well, I've gotten to know you better. Really, you're quite a good friend. Go for it, you hear me? You'll be able to. All the best, and I'll see you next year. :)

Tim: Tim, you got the brains. You got the ability, so don't let yourself down. Don't be just enough, be the best that you can be. Don't shortchange yourself. And care a little more. Less of the heck care attitude. Don't be so aloof. Don't have to keep up the Mr. Cool face. Good luck. :)
