The Last Gasp

The shore is close.

Its fourteen days away.

Fourteen days to freedom

Fourteen days to bliss

Fourteen days to pure, unadulterated enjoyment.

It an exhilarating experience to play without the shadow of homework on exams lurking behind you. (or in front)

But its fourteen days away. And this fourteen days are hell. Except the Sundays, of course, and a smattering of moments here and there.

I'm swimming in a vast ocean, and its hard to remember to come up and breathe. Because, underwater, there are so many temptations. One wishes to go take a look at that, to take a look at this. It's so rapture-like that I may forget to come up to breathe. If I don't, I'll probably lose sight of the target. Freedom, fourteen days away. Those enjoyments underwater are just counterfeits which ensnare and destroy. I must hold on my concentration, and not let myself get floated away on the currents of temptation.

Its fourteen days of eternity.

Back to Mugging. xD

P.S. I said I wouldn't be posting, but someone asked me too. Oh well.

Hiatus

This blog will be on hiatus. Until the end of the EOYs.

Not that I post much, anyway.

Discipline or else?

We certainly didn't show a lot of discipline during the drama challenge. We left everything to the last minute and chionged it. But luckily, we chionged it good and well. Nice job to the set people, we were certainly effective and quick. Though we could have been quieter when moving the sets in and out. And actors, really nice job, really convincing. Just be a bit louder next time. So, let's just cross our fingers and wait for the results to come out. We did the best we could.

Another thing that I have to to is to show discipline in regards to the EOYs. It's 22 days from now, and I've barely started. In fact, I'm taking the time to type out the blog post. I can't understand where my sense of urgency has disappeared to. I have to get down and finish up all the projects, and all the revision. And quickly. Or it will be too late.

Of Earphones and Bag Straps.

Seriously, I'm feeling very, very random today.

Anyway, I'm going to recount something really, really stupid and lame that happened on 53 today.

I was carrying the plastic bag with the props and the shoe bag with the windbreaker. I slung my bag around my left shoulder, and swung it to the front, so as to take out my iPod. As usual, I put the earphones round my neck, and the iPod in the left pocket. What I didn't notice until a few seconds later was the fact that the earphone had nicely entwined with my right strap.

So, disaster ensued.

I put my bag back on.

The earphones came of my neck.

I thought that it had caught on the bag, so i pulled. It didn't give. I tried to feel around for where it had caught. Then I felt that the earphone went around the strap. I went, oh crap. I tried to thread the iPod through the bag straps, hoping to solve the problem.

But, it didn't.

By now, the earphones were really, really messed up. And I was feeling damn pai seh.

After a long while, I got the earphones disentangled. Whew. Extremely lame, but funny. I wish I could have seen myself.

Anyway, I'm off to go do work now.

Tech Rehearsal

A teacher seriously pissed me off today. She got Ry to scram just coz he was in his costume. I mean, that's really saboing our class's drama challenge. It's really crappy. Why can't she be a bit more understanding and tolerant? And then of course, some people didn't show up. As usual. And others just stood by and watched. Made people that aren't in set have to go and move the stuff around. And as usual, we screwed up moving the sets between scenes.

It went something like this:

Aza: Hey, move this.

Me: Move that.

WZ: How bout this one?

I mean, it was really messy. And then some people decided to improvise so much on their lines that the actors sometimes missed cues. And of course, we forgot to bring some stuff.

But anyway, I think our play is not that bad. Apple rocked. It was about the only perfect part of our show. His musical interludes were really good.

Anyway, we've still got a LOT of work to do. On the Drama Challenge. And I've got lots of homework and revision to do. Its supposed to be a holiday for goodness sake.

Anyway's with got rehearsal on Wed, Fri and Sat. I can't go on Sat coz of bq. Get lost.

I really think BQ is a waste of time.

Shouldn't have signed up. But I'll see it through.

Really looking forward to snao's birthday party. :)

Drama Challenge

Honestly, I think that we are screwed.

Our technical rehearsal is on Monday, and we haven't even finished the set! I bet some of the actors haven't memorised their lines either! This is really seriously crap. We might fail if we don't buck up fast and concentrate on getting the work done. Anyway, I think we should be able to do so. But if we don't, we're screwed. Anyway, today's rehearsal was seriously fun.

We didn't do much but run through Darren's lines, run through the logistics - who's going to bring what, and also have a whole lot of fun. We played Mahjong, Suwe got a winning streak. We playing rubik cubes. And we talked crap, and serious stuff too. Stuff which I will not talk about here.

Oh well, and its choir duty tomorrow. Strangely, I don't feel like going for choir. But I will. As Kantian Ethics says, we must do our duty to be moral. Anyway, I'm off to sleep now!

God Bless You All! :)
