Silence

Its very quiet on the pitch. It's complete silence. Not a sound. The opponent lines up for the decisive penalty.

"Take the kick"

We all hold our breaths in anticipation.

David dives to his left, and knocks the ball away. We erupt in celebration. Honestly, its a very memorable experience. But it's only the semi-finals. We've still got the finals to play, against 2C. Hard match, but that was what we said about 2A too. So well, at least we've got a silver medal.

Seriously, today was tiring and yet fulfilling. Against all odds, we a GEP class, made it to the finals, beating 2A in the semis. I truly didn't expect the win. I told myself as we went to the penalties, we've already done our best. We've held them, we even took the initiative early on and scored. We played our hearts out and I, at least, was satisfied with the class's performance. So I went to the penalties with less pressure than I think 2A felt. They were supposed to win, I think, blasting 2L to pieces. So, I think the less pressure on us did much better. David rocked, I scored my penalty, we won, and that's all that matters for now. We must focus on the upcoming final.

It's these memories with my class that will remain in my mind forever. I mean, I don't think that my class in Sec 3 and 4 will be better than the one in Sec 1 and 2. The friendships we've made, the things that we've laughed about together, the good times we've spent, its incredible. I couldn't ask for more.

So well, I'm feeling a little nostalgic. That probably at the next soccer tournament, I very well be facing members of my old team in the match. A challenge, of course, but an unwelcome one. I'd rather remain in the same team. Dunno about the rest, but that's the way I feel.

I'm quite shacked now, so I'm off to bed.

2Q'07 ftw!
